The pyjamas look hits the runway again.
This time it's Bottega Veneta who sent off their models on the catwalk during the previous Milano Spring/Summer 2014 show wearing the pj-lookalike trousers in white checks. But this one is not your typical indoor-turn-outdoor wear - coz they're fresher and sleeker; not to mention the cut is very slim perfection. Somehow the pattern does remind me to the Gucci suit that Ryan Gosling wore during the première of 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' last year [CLICK], which means Bottega could've been re-enacting a similar SS'12 look, yet in a much youthful take.
I like the look worn by Joe Collier in the first pix - white on white, with a little black trim on the knitted cardigan. Very chic and cool, exuding an understated nonchalance luxury. And there's also the sketchy shadow checks in the collection; though a slightly larger pattern it's some somehow reminisces my own shirt by SEED. Could it allow me to stamp my statement that the pattern has now becoming a seasonless classic? [CLICK]
Apart from the checks, these 'stencilled-edged' suit jacket is also a talking point. Fun and playful take to the typical seriousness of a classic jacket. Would this become a new trend for SS14? We'll see. Just watch this space...
