They're Feeling Blues...

Either it's azure, brandeis or cornflower, to cobalt, indigo and midnight; the designers agreed that blue would never be out of place when it comes to Spring/Summer. For next SS'12, various hues of blue are seen everywhere again, after turquoise made the color of the season last SS'10. From Bottega Veneta azure blue suit worn by Ryan Taylor, to Antonio Navas in cobalt blue by Roberto Cavalli and patterned midnight blue donned by Julien Chanca at Z Zegna, get ready for the color to hit the season.

Just make sure your mood won't be one. Blue.

Could This Be My New SUV?

People has been asking when will I change my car? The thing is, I probably won't - at this time, no. Coz it's quite hard to find a car that really fulfill my expectations. For start, I don't really drive car car coz since five years ago I only drive SUV. It's all about the seat and the height of the vehicle, really... coz I prefer to be sitting like in a proper seat, not to slouch like in a typical saloon car. And SUV got more power especially when riding up the highlands, since it has more torque with its better McPherson suspension and 4WD capability, making the maneuveribility through the wetland is a swift.

My other dilemma to get a SUV is the good styling; both internal and external look. I always dream of the BMW X6, but it'll cost me more than half a million to own just the basic spec. I'm a big fan of Mercedes M series and Volkswagen Toureg, yet the price is too much to bear. I never like the new Honda CRV, but love the cool Mazda; though it looks a bit 'elongated'. I like the vibrant and quirky Nissan Juke, though the look is almost a joke. And Kia, I quite like the new Sportage, very strong and dynamic - though some opinions says 'don't buy a Kia' which I don't know why. So, what to choose? Perhaps, just stick to my Perodua je lah...

Anyway, could 2012 be the year I change for a new car? Perhaps, getting the new 2012 Ford Vertrek? It's superbly cool, with the futuristic look which is once tauted to be a concept car. It has been unveiled last January at Detroit Motor Show, and Ford said this model is gonna replace Kuga and the old-looking Escape, making it a perfect crossover for the young at heart.

One thing for sure: it does look fierceeeee! (and if less than RM150k, can conside to buy one la...)

Hermes SS'12 Sandals

New sandals seen on the catwalk at Hermes for Spring/Summer 2012. The straps cross the foot diagonally making it look pretty simple but in a chic way. Love the new colors - yellow ochre and carmine red, which inject some freshness to the usual neutral tones by the luxury fashion house.

Alexis Mabille's SS12 Show is Victoria Secret Version for Men?

Is it a new mood for next year's Spring/Summer or is it a men's version of Victoria Secret? Seen at Alexis Mabille's show for SS12, almost half of the collection are actually undergarments. From the brief and boxers, to the swimwear and mankini, there's lots of flesh seen on the previous runway in Paris. Probably because of the global warming that shoot the temperature up high, or perhaps the designer is inspired by The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars - the mood is to don less clothing and be absolute enganging with nature in..erm, almost natural way. Ha! Since when Sao Paolo Fashion Week coming to Paris?

Or maybe the fashion house trying to take the advantage of the loophole created by the John Galliano brand to now offering an array of undies instead, just like Galliano infamous statement 'Gazzette' briefs.

Things to Love @ Gucci SS'2012

One of the important element made me love about Gucci designs in clothing is the rock 'n roll attitude which has been synonymous with Frida's style of creation through seasons. The slim and skinny silhouette really accentuate the brave new gent who like to live the spirit of youth and edginess which can come across as retro mod and modern contemporary as well. For SS12, she reflected the sartorial mood of the Seventies again with a reference to Micheal Caine in the heydays, and the reflection of craftsmanship of the Saville Row, which is seen on the cut of the suits and tailoring.

Another thing that I like about the Spring/Summer 2012 collection is when Frida mentioned that it is for the gentlemen who is "a stylemaker, but also a rule breaker". Perfecto.

These are some pieces that I truly adore, which i think gonna be massive for next year's trend : the checks.

absolutely loving this mini checks suit...

Gucci signature loafers in new micro-horsebit buckle...

this check suit exudes London's Carnaby Street vibes during the days...

love this center webbing details. could be mistaken for a YSL though...

this is uber mod... kinda reminds of the late 60s and early 70s sartorial gents...

a perfect look of a baseball jacket... in suede/leather. simple but chic.
